I work with talented people.
This weekend is Artfest in Brownes Addition.
Ryan M – Wrote his own book
Josh - Made the animated short (The Mantis Parable)
Eric and Manny – Awesome comics
And really everyone at Cyan can do some remarkable things. It compels me to get off my butt and try to complete something.

...not to mention the talents you all have in your work! I am constantly amazed at the concept that your intricate worlds are woven from words numbers and command lines!
Everyone has the potential to do something amazing, it's great that you recognise those wonderful things in the people around you.
Talents are always things to be celebrated, and it is a sad thing when people fail to look for the talents in themselves
so yeah.. get off your butt and complete something! :P

Yes little brother,
You need to bust out your own works.
Seasons come and go in our lives.
For a season you paint, for a season you write, for antoher season you play music and round and round and round it goes. When one is blessed with multiple abilities it is difficult to define what one should pursue. At the ripe old age of...(never-you-mind!)...I have come to the conlcusion that it is best to pursue them all - in their proper time (proper time being when the energy/impetus/inspiration is upon one to do it.) Then again, maybe that mindset defines the reason as to why I haven't found it to be too lucrative yet. ;o) Then again, it coud be that my art is abstract and not all happy/priddy landscapes etc. I did get some in a show a few weeks ago. I could not price them though, so I had some other local artist friends do it for me. That is probably another reason that it is not lucrative for me - I have ahard time pricing my stuff...
ANYWAY....I digress...
"Yes" says I, "you should be pursuing your won works and you should be hanging them in your place so that they can rejuvenate your love of painting/shooting/playing."
Catch ya soon Ryman,
mih-
