The Return of the King

I really can’t say much about it, but Cyan Worlds is back. I can’t say for how long, but I can say we are back. We all moved into the cool building this last week. I’m glad to be back. It feels good.

Peace

This is wonderful news.

I just started on EoA, and am already trying to go slow and see EVERYTHING. Don't want it to end.

Thank you all for everything, and I wish you all the best of luck in the future, no matter what it holds.

Best wishes.

This is outstanding news. Of course, curious minds want to know more details, but we can wait for them. I'm certainly glad to know that the shop is open again. I'm currently in the middle of playing Myst V and have been taking things extra slow, soaking in every morsel of the game. I'll continue to soak it in but without the morbid knowledge that this will be my last Cyan adventure.

BTW...while avoiding spoilers...I loved the "END" of the Myst series. Love and hugs to all of you...I was hoping I wouldn't have to give up gaming and now that you're back to work gives me hope.

this weekend i was playing EoA, again stunned by the beauty (like all previous mysts), but with a sad feeling in the back of my head - knowing no company like cyan could ever craft such beautiful worlds and puzzles, so this would probably be just "it".
reading this fab-u-lous news makes my heart leap with joy!
HURRAY
more cyan worlds please!

So glad to hear some good news about cyan worlds. It's depressing that such a great development house that's made such a wonderful series over the past decade or so would end up shutting down. Glad to see a glimmer of hope. Hope we can see some new IP come out of this in the next few years if this lasts.

Haha! Half an hour ago I found out, to my great sadness, that Cyan was all but disbanded a month ago. I was still struggling with the news (and trying to formulate a comment on the earlier blog post) when I saw this more recent turn of events.

A sign that I should really try more to stay with current news. On the other hand, this saved me an entire month of anguish, did it not? ^_^

I just finished Exile this weekend, am looking forward to seeing the rest of this grand series and the intricate world it weaves, and knowing that "The End has not yet been Written." :)

Just heard the news, after so many weeks of sadness it was the best thing I could hear. A big part of me is taking this tentatively but I can only hope you guys go from strength to strength. I can't believe how brain dead I felt when it all went to the wall - and some of the tributes...What can I say, it is a measure of what you have achieved and how you have all touched so many lives in so many different ways.

Good to have you back, long may you reign. Viva Cyan!

I've been away from Myst news for a long while (am saving up to get a proper graphics card for Myst IV, didn't want any spoilers before I played) so I read all the news about the layoffs AND this wonderful update all in one sitting, and suffice it to say it's been a real roller-coaster!

I'm so glad to hear this. The Myst games account for probably 80-90% of my computer gaming time...without you the world would be a much less beautiful place, indeed.

Good luck to you all at Cyan!

This is the most wonderful news I've had in a long time! I was heartbroken when I heard that Cyan Worlds was going down, I love the world of Myst, it was the very first computer game I've ever played. I hope that Cyan Worlds and Myst and the Millers can continue their beautiful saga's. Thanks to you guys for all you do!

No word of lie, I was sitting here listening to the theme to "Welcome Back Kotter" at the same time as I read the news that Cyan is back. I had to laugh.

It was great news, almost brought a tear to my eye when it seems like lately all my favorite companies, games etc... seem to be fading into history.
